AI emoji generator

Turn a character, object or inside joke into an emoji-style reaction image. Describe the expression and style, or start from a reaction preset. Add a reference if you have one, then review the result before sharing.

Create a custom reaction image

Choose a reaction, then edit the subject, expression and style. Add a reference image if you want to guide the character design.

How to make an emoji image

  1. 1

    Start with a reaction

Choose a reaction preset for a starting prompt. Each preset asks for an original robot when no reference is supplied. Change the subject to your own mascot, animal or object.

  2. 2

    Describe the expression

In Describe your emoji, enter the mood, pose and visual style. Keep the face and silhouette simple. An optional reference can guide the design, but check each result for changes.

  3. 3

    Generate and check it small

Press Generate emoji image and review the result in your personal canvas. Look at the expression at its intended display size, then prepare the background, crop and file size for where you will use it.

Give a familiar reaction your own character

Start with one readable expression. Build additional reactions separately and compare them as a set.

Team reactions

Turn a team mascot into a celebration, thank-you or deadline reaction. Keep the same approved reference and style brief across requests, then compare the face and colors before sharing.

Community characters

Explore expressions for an original game guild or community mascot. A clear face and uncluttered outline are easier to assess when the image is reduced to chat size.

Social and brand graphics

Create a reaction illustration for a post, newsletter or launch announcement. Add any final text in your design workflow and review the complete composition.

Emoji prompt ideas

These are suggested prompts, not verified outputs. Replace the subject or style to fit your own idea.

01

A tiny win

Use a single gesture to make the reaction readable.

One cheerful avocado character giving a thumbs-up, big friendly eyes, bold rounded shapes, flat green and yellow colors, centered close-up on a plain white background. No text or extra characters.

02

A sleepy reply

Keep the emotion stronger than the decorative details.

One sleepy crescent-moon character with half-closed eyes and a soft smile, simple flat illustration, thick navy outline, centered on a plain white background. No words, tiny stars or busy scenery.

03

Launch-day celebration

Describe the action and the character in the same brief.

One original round orange robot raising both arms with a joyful smile, two large confetti shapes, bold cartoon illustration, clean silhouette, centered on a plain white background. No lettering, logos or collage.

AI emoji generator FAQ

Does this create a real keyboard emoji?

No. It creates an emoji-style image. It does not add a Unicode character or install anything on your phone keyboard. Use the artwork as an image, or prepare it for a platform that supports custom emoji.

Can I upload the result to Slack or Discord?

You can prepare the image for a platform that supports custom emoji, then upload it through that platform's own settings. Astorie does not upload it for you. Check the current dimensions, file-size limit, supported formats and workspace or server permissions before uploading.

Is the background transparent?

Transparency is not guaranteed by this generator. A prompt asking for a plain white background still produces a visible background. Use the separate Background Removal tool, inspect the edges and export in a format that supports transparency if needed.

How do I make a matching reaction pack?

Generate each reaction separately using the same reference and style description. Change the expression rather than rewriting the whole character brief. Compare the face, proportions and colors across the set; a shared reference guides the result but does not guarantee identical character details.

Can I use my own mascot as a reference?

Yes, you can add a reference image to guide the design. Use an original mascot or material you have permission to use, and obtain consent before depicting a real person. Review each result against the reference before sharing it.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Astorie offers a free plan without a credit card. Check current allowances on the pricing page and the credit requirement for your request. Free-plan outputs are for personal, non-commercial evaluation.

Can I use generated emoji commercially?

Commercial rights apply to new outputs generated on a paid plan, subject to the model provider's terms and your rights to the input. Free-plan generations are for personal, non-commercial evaluation. Outputs made on a paid plan retain their commercial rights after downgrade or cancellation. See Astorie's commercial-rights policy for the full terms.
