Toy designer

Use a toy designer to explore an original character or object as an image concept. Start with the wooden-gecko reference, then develop function, materials and age suitability through a separate design and testing process.

Explore an original toy concept

Try the selected new reference and starter prompt, or replace the image with a reference you have permission to use.

From a brief to a reviewed concept

  1. 1

    Define the visual idea

Try the selected gecko or a permitted sketch. Describe the character, overall shape and material appearance without treating the picture as a tested product.

  2. 2

Inspect the image for development questions

Choose Generate toy concept. Look at joints, separate parts, edges and the apparent play action. List details that require practical redesign.

  3. 3

    Develop and evaluate physical prototypes

Work with a toy designer or manufacturer on materials, part sizes, joints, intended users and prototypes. Arrange the applicable evaluation and testing before production.

What to explore and check

Original character direction

Explore a simple animal, creature or object with a distinctive silhouette and coherent visual details.

Material appearance studies

Compare wooden, soft or molded-looking surfaces. The image cannot establish composition, strength or suitability for a child.

Questions for prototyping

Use the concept to identify joints, parts and play actions that need physical development and evaluation.

Questions before you start

Is the generated toy safe for children?

The image cannot establish safety or age suitability. A qualified designer or manufacturer must review and test the developed product.

Does it create a working mechanism or 3D-printable model?

No. It creates a concept image. Develop the mechanism, geometry and production files separately and test physical prototypes.

Can I develop an original toy character from a sketch?

Yes, if you have rights to the sketch. Describe its defining features and inspect the result for unwanted similarities or inconsistent details.

Can I use the generated concept commercially?

Paid-plan generations can be used commercially, subject to model-provider terms and your rights to the inputs. Free-plan generations are intended for personal, non-commercial use; upgrading applies to new generations going forward. Check the current plan and commercial-rights guidance before using a concept for client or product work.

How are uploaded references used?

Under standard consumer and team terms, Astorie may use uploads, prompts and outputs to operate and improve the service and to train and evaluate AI models. A generation can also send data to a model provider under its own policy. Enterprise training opt-out requires a separate written agreement. Deleting a project does not necessarily remove information already incorporated into training or derived datasets.
